Take a look around you and have a deep ponder on your surroundings. You’ll likely see a number of things which are pretty standard across modern society. Maybe a car driving past, maybe a person speaking on the phone as they walk to the shop, you might even see a rodent scurrying around for some food. Whatever the case, it will all seem pretty normal in the grand scheme of things. After all, who hasn’t seen a car and is able to read this blog post which is exclusively available on t’web? But take a moment to think about it, these events all represent the chaos that is modern life.
Furthermore, they all emphasise just how comfortable we can feel when surrounded by utter chaos. When you consider the fact that a car is literally only able to move due to a series of coordinated explosions happening within it’s engine, unless you own an electric car in which case there is a reliance on a whole shebang of chemical reactions occurring in a battery, you must realise that modern society is as chaotic as could possibly be. At any moment in time one of those vehicles could veer off the road and cause a disaster and yet we are all perfectly comfortable within this chaos. So much so that we do not even consider it to be chaos.
This realisation has got me thinking that the beauty in life is in finding the comfort in the chaos. If we can find ourselves not just accepting, but, feeling comfortable and thriving in the most chaotic of situations we should be able to feel utterly joyous when in situations with little to no friction. The next time you feel yourself having a negative reaction to a moment of stress try and remember that you are a product of chaos. You, like me, are an unpredictable entity who was thrust into existence under the most unrelenting of circumstances, as was everybody else. Regardless of one’s social status, wealth or fame we are all susceptible to the same ills of fate and we all poop.
Love, peace and happiness
